Lynden is a licensed architect in Ontario having received a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Dalhousie University.
His experience covers a wide array of project types with a focus on residential; ranging from modern houses in Canada to Georgian houses in London and Oxford. It also includes retail and restaurant design, hotels across Europe, ground-breaking new communities within the UK and extensive large scale masterplanning internationally. Lynden has also been fortunate to work on a number of major new landmark constructions such as Massey Hall and the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as some of Canada’s most celebrated heritage buildings (Union Station, Humber College and Osgoode Hall).
Lynden is most interested in the stories that form as people interact with each other within the built environment. He is always focused on light, composition and materials, taking inspiration from places he’s visited, cities he’s lived and people he has met. Projects include Craftsman House, Complex House, Old Forest Hill Residence, Karir Optical Flagship and Rosedale Renovation.
Previous architectural experience includes KPMB, Taylor Hazell, Riach Architects (Oxford), Dubbeldam Architecture and Design, Chris Dyson Architects (London), Conran and Partners (London) and Pollard Thomas Edwards (London). In London he served as guest critic for the Masters program at The Bartlett UCL and both the Masters and Bachelor programs at Oxford Brookes University.
