The Netherby Residence is a charming heritage house located in Toronto’s Rosedale neighbourhood, that has been restored and renovated with a modern twist. The spirited new interior of the project juxtaposes with its traditional and polite street face. Playful colours, shapes, textures, and materials animate the interiors and reflect the clients’ distinctive predilections. Improved circulation and enlarged spaces accommodate a modern and busy lifestyle of this family of six, and 2 pets. The new open plan improves access to natural light and air, provides interconnection between spaces, and sets up visual and spatial relationships to the re-worked exterior.
