ASSOCIATE

Jowenne is an Associate at Drew Mandel Architects and a licenced architect in Ontario. She has been at Drew Mandel Architects since 2010. She holds a Honours Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture degree from the University of Toronto. She has led a variety of projects with the firm including residential dwellings, boutique retail, and public and commercial buildings. Notable projects include the award-winning urban infill residence, Moore Park Residence, and the renewal and extension of the heritage Lawren Harris House. She has also been project architect in the design development and construction administration phases for boutique retail projects, including WANT Apothecary Rosedale, WANT Lawrence Park, James Perse Oakville, and James Perse Yorkville.

Current projects include a residential heritage house in the Bracondale neighbourhood featuring a full-gut interior and addition. Before joining Drew Mandel Architects, Jowenne worked at Hariri Pontarini Architects and Dubbeldam Architecture & Design in Toronto, and Weisz + Yoes Architecture, and Dattner Architects in New York City.

Jowenne believes that beautiful architecture is created when thoughtful details, materials, light, and circulation, elegantly marries personal experience, history, and the urban fabric.
